Chhur has a significant historical background. The villagers originally migrated from Jassaur Kheri (जैसोर खेड़ी) centuries ago, attracted by the fertile land of the region. The settlement process was challenging as the land was initially occupied by Rajputs. It took two attempts for the migrants to establish themselves. Eventually, they broke the dominance of the Chaubeesi (a group of 24 Rajput villages) and made Chhur the first [[Jat]] village in the area. Over time, [[Jat|Jats]] from various gotras migrated to the region, contributing to the growth of the [[Jat community]] in Uttar Pradesh.
