Chhur has a rich historical background and plays an important role in the rural administration of the region. == Geography == Chhur village spans a total geographical area of 1,075.83 hectares and is situated in the 250342 postal area. The village is known for its fertile land, as it lies between the [[Ganga]] and [[Yamuna]] rivers, one of the most fertile regions in India. == History == Chhur has a significant historical background. The villagers originally migrated from Jassaur Kheri (जैसोर खेड़ी) centuries ago, attracted by the fertile land of the region. The settlement process was challenging as the land was initially occupied by Rajputs. It took two attempts for the migrants to establish themselves. Eventually, they broke the dominance of the Chaubeesi (a group of 24 Rajput villages) and made Chhur the first [[Jat]] village in the area. Over time, [[Jat|Jats]] from various gotras migrated to the region, contributing to the growth of the [[Jat community]] in Uttar Pradesh. == Demographics == The total population of Chhur, as per the 2011 Census, is 7,566, comprising 4,214 males and 3,352 females. The literacy rate of the village is 68.65%, with 76.82% of males and 58.38% of females being literate.
